My pretty winter garden

It's been such a pretty, sunny winter's day here, (but cold), so I wandered out into the garden with my cuppa and my camera (and my Maddie dog, of course). Such pretty things I found, what a joy a garden is, especially at this time of year, when we need something to brighten up the days. Hope you enjoy sharing them with me.

Tiny winter Iris peep out from under the Agapanthus leaves and my Diosma in full bloom.

Glorious colours of the Japanese Maple and some dainty African Daisies.

Coll. Is it really winter there? I guess I never thought about it. We do not have a flower in bloom here in winter! Where we live we have lake effect snow which dumps feet of snow not inches! I think your winter would be neat, but i would miss the lovely winter scenery of home! Lori

Hi Coll,

Wow, your blog is beautiful! I LOVE your header! It must be so nice to have winter with flowers! I hate winter here so much because we dont have any flowers or greenery! Your so lucky :)

Hi Coll,
Thanks for the comment. I am so excited to have a swap-mate from Australia! It's one of the countries I haven't traveled to... yet! I did read your blog also, to get a feel for what you like... and your interests. I've already been to The Assemlage Studio in town to look for little goodies. I have a rough idea in my head as to how this will look... just need to get the teeny, tiny matchbox. WOW! They are small! What a fun challenge... and a nice way to meet a new friend. More later...
